In Bingley
Built to Last, Looking Tired
Bingley runs from stone terraces near the town centre and the Five Rise Locks up to the larger houses at Gilstead and Eldwick, with a lot of interwar and post-war semis filling the space between. It is solid, unfussy housing stock, and the kitchens in it tend to be the same.
That is the point. The units in a Bingley semi are usually sound, the hinges still work, the layout suits the room and the worktop has years left in it. What has aged is a light oak, a cream, or a high gloss that was current when it went in. Replacing all of that to change a colour is the expensive way round.
The Gilstead and Eldwick houses further up the hill more often have larger kitchens with island units or a run of tall cabinets, where the cost gap between respraying and replacing gets wider still.

How It Runs
Down the Valley and Back
The run down the Aire Valley is straightforward, so Bingley collections and refits are easy to schedule and rarely need a whole day set aside.
Doors and drawer fronts come off, get labelled, and travel back to the booth at Cross Hills. You keep a working kitchen the whole time, just without its doors on.
Around ten days from collection to refit. If you are changing handles at the same time, the old holes get filled and the new positions re-drilled while the doors are with us, which is far easier than doing it in place.
“Harry and his team have done an incredible job, updating my kitchen for a fraction of the cost of having a new one (I have saved my myself over £10,000!) Communication was fantastic, Harry answered all my questions quickly and his team are extremely friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Chameleon Spray Painting to anyone who is thinking about it. Minimal disruption and I’m delighted with the results. I wish I’d done it sooner! Thank you Harry!”

Colours & Finishes
Picking a Colour That Lasts
We match to Farrow & Ball, RAL and British Standard, and there are hundreds of colours to choose from. If the kitchen is going to be lived in hard, we will point you at finishes and shades that wear well rather than the ones that photograph best. A 10 year warranty concentrates the mind on that sort of thing.
