Cottage Kitchens and Bespoke Runs
Gargrave sits where the Leeds and Liverpool canal, the River Aire and the Pennine Way all cross, and the village is largely stone: cottages round the green and Church Street, canal-side houses, and larger properties out along West Street and the Marton road.
Kitchens in a stone cottage are rarely standard. Low ceilings, deep window reveals, thick walls and floors that are not quite level mean most of these runs were made or heavily adapted on site. Replacing one is a bespoke joinery job, not a showroom order, and the price reflects that.
That makes respraying an easier decision here than almost anywhere else we work. The cabinetry that fits your awkward room already exists. Changing its colour costs a fraction of commissioning it again.
How It Runs
On Our Way Anyway
The A65 through Gargrave is our route into upper Craven, so a collection or a quote visit here is genuinely easy to fit in rather than something we have to build a day around.
Doors and drawer fronts come off and come back to the booth at Cross Hills. In a cottage kitchen with an uneven floor or a hand-fitted run, everything gets labelled carefully on the way out, because these doors do not go back in a different order.
Around ten days from collection to refit, with the carcasses and any fitted shelving masked off and sprayed in place.

Colour in a Low, Stone Room
Cottage kitchens are usually darker than their owners would like, and the instinct is to go white. That is not always right: a flat brilliant white can look stark against old stone and exposed timber, where a warmer off-white or a soft muted colour sits better. We match to Farrow & Ball, RAL and British Standard, so whichever way you go we can mix to it exactly.
