Cobbydale, Old and New
Silsden is two towns stitched together. There is the old one, stone terraces and cottages packed round Kirkgate and Bolton Road on ground that climbs steeply away from the beck, and there is the new one, the estates that have gone up the hillside over the last thirty years.
The older cottages give us the trickiest and most rewarding work. Small rooms, thick walls, doors that were made for the space, and often a run of units that nobody could replace like for like today without going bespoke. Respraying is the only way to change how one of those kitchens looks without losing what makes it fit.
The newer estate kitchens are the opposite job and just as common: ten to twenty years old, structurally perfect, and wearing a shade of oak or cream that instantly dates the house. Those come back looking new for a fraction of a replacement.

Silsden does not get much attention from the bigger firms further afield, which suits us. We are close enough that a quote visit is not an event, and close enough that if something needs a second look after the refit we can come back without it becoming a negotiation.
The doors and drawer fronts come to the booth at Cross Hills. The fixed units stay where they are, masked off and sprayed in place, which is the fiddlier half of the job.
Around ten days is the usual turnaround. Being ten minutes away, collection and refit can often be fitted around your week rather than ours.
