uPVC Spraying in Keighley
Fifteen minutes south along the A629, and the town we work in most. Keighley is where the front door does the most work of any surface we spray, because in a lot of the town it is the entire frontage.

Where the Door Is the Frontage
Keighley grew fast on textiles and the housing shows it. Dense Victorian through terraces around Ingrow and the town centre, larger stone semis and villas up at Utley and Riddlesden, interwar and post-war estates in between, and newer development climbing the Worth Valley side.
In the terraces there is no garden, no drive and no porch. The door opens onto the pavement, and it sits in a stone surround with a window beside it. That is the whole elevation you own at eye level, which is why a tired white or a nineties woodgrain door drags the whole house down and why changing it changes so much.
Up at Utley and Riddlesden the houses are bigger and the frames are the issue rather than the door: wide bays, more of them, and a lot of frames fitted at the same time in the same white.

How It Runs
Access Is the Practical Question
Terraced streets with no drive and permit parking mean we plan around where the van can actually stand, and we say so up front rather than turning up and improvising.
Nothing is removed. The door stays on its hinges and the frames stay in the wall, all masked and sprayed in place. On a street where the pavement is the working area we keep the masking tight and clear up the same day.
A door on its own is usually a single day. A door with the front frames alongside it is normally two.
On a through terrace we usually do the front in one visit and the back in another, since the two elevations rarely need the same amount of preparation and the rear is often the one that has weathered.

Colours & Finishes
A Street of Identical Doors
The reason so many Keighley terraces have the same door is that they were replaced in batches. Colour is the cheapest way out of that, and it does not have to be dramatic. A deep blue, a heritage green or a soft black on one door in a run of white reads as deliberate rather than loud. We match to RAL and British Standard, so if you want to pick up a colour already used on the street we can mix to it. The coating is made for exterior uPVC rather than being a household paint, and it carries a 10 year warranty, which matters on a door that takes a hand on it several times a day.
Photographs of the door and the frames beside it are enough for a price. We are fifteen minutes away if a look in person is easier. The full process is on our upvc spraying page.
