Cobbydale, and Which Way It Faces
Silsden is two towns stitched together. There is the old one, stone terraces and cottages packed round Kirkgate and Bolton Road on ground that climbs steeply away from the beck, and there is the new one, the estates that have gone up the hillside over the last thirty years.
The hillside is the point for uPVC. On an exposed elevation the sun and the weather do not hit the house evenly, so frames on one side of a building chalk and yellow years before the frames on the other side. Owners often assume the whole house has gone and only half of it has.
In the older cottages the windows are small, deep-set and numerous, which is slow careful masking rather than difficult spraying. On the newer estates it is the opposite: fewer, larger openings, patio doors, and a uniform white that dates the house more than anything inside it.
How It Runs
Close Enough to Wait for Weather
Everything is sprayed in place. Frames are not removed, glazing is not disturbed, and the building fabric is untouched, which is worth knowing if you are somewhere that a replacement would have meant a conversation with the council first.
uPVC needs a dry, still spell to spray properly. Being ten minutes away we can hold a day and come the next one, rather than pushing on in the wrong conditions because the travel has already been spent.
Two to three days for a typical house, and we work elevation by elevation so the whole property is never masked at once.
On the steeper streets above the beck we bring our own access rather than assuming there is somewhere to stand a ladder, which is worth knowing if you have been told a job is awkward before.

When only the weather-facing frames have gone, the temptation is to do just those. It rarely looks right, because a new colour beside a thirty year old white reads as a repair. Spraying the whole elevation, or the whole house, costs less than people expect once the team and the masking are already there. We match to RAL and British Standard so the finish is consistent across every opening. The coating is formulated for exterior uPVC, UV stable, and warranted for 10 years, which is the answer to the obvious question about whether a sprayed frame simply fades again.
